This is the contradictory message about careers that we see in the new millennium. || The business context is turbulent and complex and there are many carrier rules: ambiguous and contradictory. We are in the midst of what has been defined as a "Reskilling Revolution": the need to quickly reallocate talent, to move resources from one role to another Individuals, predictably, are becoming "ambivalent" about their desires and plans for professional development. I| traditional psychological contract in which an employee joins a company, works hard, performs well, is loyal and committed to the company, and therefore receives increasingly greater rewards and job security, has been replaced by a new contract based on lifelong learning and on the continuous change of profession and professional identity. The traditional organizational career is dead, while the career based on versatility and changeability is alive and thriving. Can the solution be conscious Learning Agility? We believe so.
